Course Curriculum

1 1.1 Correcting Flowcharts

In this unit, we will learn about the fundamentals of flowcharts and their use in representing algorithms. We'll identify and correct errors as well as understand why changes in algorithms are necessary due to errors, additional requirements, or shifts in purpose. We'll also explore the symbolic language of flowcharts, such as what the rectangle symbol represents, and how to modify a flowchart when its intended function needs adjustment.

2 1.2 Selection Statements

In this unit, we will learn how to use the decision-making pathways of programming through the use of selection statements and logical operators within flowcharts. We will explore how to construct and interpret 'IF', 'THEN', and 'ELSE' statements to guide us through processes that require choices to be made. We will also delve into the usage of comparison operators, such as greater than, less than, and equal to, to predict outcomes and make informed decisions.

3 1.3 Creating Algorithims

In this unit, we'll learn how to create algorithms using flowchart symbols. We will explore how these maps can guide us through different decision points, helping us solve problems like figuring out discounts or recommending games and learn to craft step-by-step plans for all sorts of situations using selection statements.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
